Language and Communication
Language and communication skills are essential to children in many areas of life and we believe that it is extremely important to teach children the skills to develop their skills to express themselves clearly, from a young age. We promote a love of reading throughout the school and often have whole school reading days, where our older children and younger children pair up together and share their favourite books and stories. Staff also share stories with children in class and they get read to most days.
We like to provide children with the opportunities to debate and ask questions on specific viewpoints and develop their own respectful opinion.
