Art and Design
Art and Design at Allonby School:
At Allonby School, we aim to inspire our pupils and develop their confidence to experiment in becoming young artists. We aim to give all pupils every opportunity to develop their ability, nurture their talent and interests, express their ideas and thoughts about the world, as well as learning about the rich heritage and culture within art and design from around the world.
We use the CUSP Art and Design scheme of work, which meets the National curriculum end of key stage attainment targets. Mixed age plans have been created to ensure full coverage of the National Curriculum- Key Stage 1 run on a 2 year cycle and Key Stage 2 on a 4 year cycle. Art and Design is taught every half term, alternating with Design and Technology.
